Before booking
What if my car is already booked for my dates?
We check your dates before you enter driver details and again before creating your booking. Vehicles with overlapping reservations or rentals cannot be booked. Choose another available car or change your dates. An unpaid reservation becomes available again after its hold expires.

We count calendar days between your start and return dates using Hobart dates. Seasonal rates apply to the dates they cover. Your quote compares daily charges with the applicable weekly rate for each seven-day block, including a cap on the final part-week. Savings apply automatically and do not extend your booked dates. The bond is separate; confirm delivery availability and any fee with us before payment.

Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and no more than 75, hold a current, valid driver licence, and have held that licence for at least 12 months.

You'll need to provide your contact details, date of birth, residential address, and driver licence details (number, country of issue and expiry) as part of the booking form.

Do I need to verify my identity?
Yes. After your rental payment is confirmed, you'll complete a secure identity check using an accepted photo ID and a selfie, handled through Stripe Identity.

Yes. A security bond is authorised on your card via Stripe before your vehicle is released. This is an authorisation hold, not an immediate charge.

Yes. Once your payment, identity verification and booking are confirmed, you'll review and electronically sign the BusyHornet Rentals Rental Agreement online.

Request a drop-off address and preferred time when booking, or ask us to help choose a location. Our team will confirm both your handover and return location and time before the rental starts. Return the keys directly to our team for the inspection; contact us before changing the arrangements.

Do I need to refresh after identity verification?
No. Return to your private booking summary after completing Stripe’s identity check. The page checks for confirmation automatically and shows the agreement step once your identity is verified. If a review takes longer, your booking stays saved and you can return to the same link later.

Your booking summary is available as soon as you save your booking. Keep its private link to return later, check your payment and bond, and view your agreement. After payment, use Email me a copy or Print / save as PDF to keep the details.

Contact BusyHornet Rentals as soon as possible. Any refund, cancellation charge or date change depends on the booking stage, costs already incurred and the Rental Agreement that applies to your booking.
